A donor egg bank on a mission to make parenthood accessible
At Luminary Donor Eggs, we understand the deep desire to become a parent, and we want to be a positive, seamless part of that journey. Our mission as a donor egg bank is to make creating a family accessible while achieving high quality standards of care for our donors and our aspiring parents.
Our Founders
For more than a decade, Heidi Hayes and Margarita Lainez have worked to help others fulfill their dream of parenthood. Heidi focused on making donor eggs more widely available — starting one of the nation’s first frozen donor egg banks in 2012 and serving as a board member for the Tinina Q Cade Foundation, which provides financial support to people with infertility. She understands the challenges and joys firsthand, having built her family through egg donation and adoption.
Margarita helped to build one of the largest U.S. egg banks after experiencing secondary infertility. As a Latina born in the U.S. to parents from El Salvador, she brings a culturally rich perspective to Luminary Donor Eggs and understands diversity in egg donation is fundamental to meet the unique needs of aspiring parents.
Together, the two founded Luminary Donor Eggs to make parenthood available to more people. As a subsidiary of Luminary Life Sciences, Luminary Donor Eggs has access to cutting edge science and some of the brightest minds working in healthcare to bring a holistic approach to egg donation.
